Today was an incredible day of action at the Helping Hands warehouse! A team of our dedicated volunteers rolled up their sleeves and spent the day loading an entire semi-truck full of donated items.
While our primary mission is focused on providing housing and education in Central Kenya, we are always looking for ways to maximize the impact of the generosity we see from our supporters. That is why we are thrilled to partner with Orphan Grain Train for this massive shipment.
Orphan Grain Train is a phenomenal organization that assists in disaster relief efforts right here at home and in 73 other countries around the world. Because of their extensive logistics network, the supplies our volunteers carefully loaded today will soon be on their way to families facing severe hardship in Ukraine, Liberia, and right here in the USA.
We want to send a massive thank you to the volunteers who showed up today to do the heavy lifting. It takes a tremendous amount of physical work and coordination to load a semi, but seeing those doors close on a truck full of hope makes it all worth it.
